Centralization vs. Distributed

The fact is that decentralization, because of the structure, tends to serve human development. In contrast, centralization – again by structure rather than intents – tends to throttle human development. As we noted above, under conditions of decentralization, humans tend to focus on concrete realities and their own abilities to address them. Under conditions of centralization, they tend to focus on authorities and rules, rather than their own judgment. And especially important is that under decentralization, cooperation with others must be a function of each individual’s will. Under centralization, cooperation is imposed from above, under threat. As a result, we see this: • The people operating a centralized structure may actually mean well, but their system will always tend to produce intimidation and plunder – that is the nature of a centralized system. • The people operating a decentralized structure may be flawed, but their system will always tend to produce cooperation, resulting in productivity – that is the nature of a decentralized system. -- The Freedman's Perspective, March 2017, Issue #81

Does this mean a few of my people could inform the State of Texas that we have declared our own micro-government?

That the general, great and essential principles of liberty and free government may be recognized and established, we declare:

• Sec. 1. FREEDOM AND SOVEREIGNTY OF STATE. Texas is a free and independent State, subject only to the Constitution of the United States, and the maintenance of our free institutions and the perpetuity of the Union depend upon the preservation of the right of local self-government, unimpaired to all the States.

• Sec. 2. INHERENT POLITICAL POWER; REPUBLICAN FORM OF GOVERNMENT. All political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit. The faith of the people of Texas stands pledged to the preservation of a republican form of government, and, subject to this limitation only, they have at all times the inalienable right to alter, reform or abolish their government in such manner as they may think expedient."
